Chicken casserole

Here’s a comforting chicken casserole recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, etc.)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup cooked rice or noodles
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mixed vegetables, half of the cheese, cooked rice or noodles, onion (if using), garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. Transfer to Casserole Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread it evenly.

  4. Add Topping: If using, mix the breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the top. Then, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
